Ripudaman, who was the youngest contestant, was crowned the real hero of the current season of the biggest culinary show in India. He walked away with the coveted title, prize money of Rs 1 crore and gets a chance to write his own cookery book.
An elated Chef said, “It's an amazing feeling. I am very happy that I have made my parents and my family proud. They said they have forgiven all my mistakes and I am really feeling on top of the world. Everyone around me is saying choti umar mein bahut bada dhamaka kar diya hai. I am thankful to the people who have supported me, my friends and to my fans. I think my luck, hard work and struggle played an important part in my win.”
The winner was announced after Judges-Sanjeev Kapoor, Vikas Khanna and Kunal Kapoor mutual decision, plus, audience voting. Talking about the journey, he said, “My journey has been full of challenges but it has been the most beautiful one ever. Whatever good or bad that has happened in the Masterchef Kitchen now all seems to be truly worth it as I am a Masterchef winner. Each one of us had so much fun. I particularly remember during our Chandigarh trip I never slept in night, I went to Gurdwara and practiced making round chapattis. And I am happy that I've made so many good friends along the way.”
